“Developing Leaders”

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS CERTIFICATION?

The course is designed for those who work with leaders and organizations in phases of complex change and want to go beyond observable competencies and behaviors. It is particularly suitable for professionals who already operate in the fields of leadership, culture, or change and are seeking a step up in depth and rigor in their work.

The program focuses on values, mindset, and inner coherence, through the Barrett Leadership Model and self-assessment and 360° feedback tools.

Specifically, it is aimed at professional coaches, organizational development and change management consultants, senior facilitators and trainers, HR professionals, Heads of Leadership and Talent Development, and internal leaders who hold responsibility for developing other leaders and for transforming organizational culture.

For those already certified in Cultivating Culture and/or using Barrett Analytics© on culture, the leadership tools represent a natural extension of cultural transformation work, making visible the level of alignment between the leadership style of top managers and the culture the organization aims to create.

WHAT DOES THIS CERTIFICATION OFFER?

Our goal is to provide you with a practical and operational experience to develop your ability to work on leadership development through the Barrett Leadership Model and the diagnostic tools of the Barrett Values Centre, linking values, mindset, behaviors, and organizational impact in work with leaders and teams.

  • You will learn to understand and use the Barrett Leadership Model in depth, based on the 7 levels of consciousness applied to leadership.
  • You will use a suite of tools developed by Richard Barrett and the Barrett Values Centre, known as Barrett Analytics©, to work on leadership development at both individual and group level.
  • You will learn a structured and rigorous values-based 360° feedback approach, which makes visible not only what a leader does, but the quality of awareness from which decisions and behaviors emerge.
  • You will have access to the professional use of the following leadership tools: Leadership Self-Assessment (LSA), Leadership Development Report (LDR), Leadership Values Assessment (LVA), Leadership Development Group Report (LDGR), and Leadership Values Group Report (LVGR).
  • You will have access to MyBVC, the Barrett Values Centre platform that brings together in-depth materials, business cases, benchmarks, and resources to support work with individuals and organizations.
  • You will become part of the Italian Barrett Values Centre community and be connected to a global community of professionals and change agents specialized in leadership development and organizational transformation.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your personal awareness through the completion of a Leadership Self-Assessment and a Leadership Development Report (360° feedback) to be completed before the course, working first-hand with the model and the key indicators of leadership quality.
  • The certification includes 3 hours of guidance with the Assessment Consultants of the Barrett Values Centre, dedicated to the use and interpretation of the assessment tools in professional practice

WHAT WILL BE THE LEARNING METHOD?

In Italy, Facilitation Zone™ has chosen to structure the Developing Leaders certification pathway by integrating moments of experiential learning, guided practice, and methodological deepening, with the aim of providing real hands-on proficiency in the use of the Barrett Values Centre leadership tools in work with leaders, teams, and organizations.

Learning takes place in a highly interactive and experiential format, based on group work, practical exercises, and analysis of real cases. The pathway alternates moments of personal reflection, peer exchange, and concrete application of leadership and 360° feedback tools.

Before the course, you will complete a set of individual assessments designed to develop your personal awareness and allow you to work first-hand with the leadership model. This step is essential to progressively learn how to support other leaders and teams in developing their awareness, connecting values, mindset, and behaviors.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Self-managed prework:

  • Theoretical content on the Barrett Leadership Model© and the 7 levels of consciousness applied to leadership.
  • Completion of a Leadership Self-Assessment and a Leadership Development Report (360° feedback), aimed at developing personal awareness and working directly with the model prior to the classroom experience.

Two days of experiential training:

  • The two days are highly interactive and based on practical exercises, group work, and analysis of real cases.
  • During the training, work focuses on:
    • understanding the Barrett Leadership Model© and its key indicators;
    • reading and interpreting leadership data at both individual and team level;
    • using leadership tools to support development pathways, coaching, and team-based work.
  • The work integrates individual leadership and group leadership, linking values, mindset, behaviors, and organizational impact.

Postwork:

  • Completion activities in support of the certification.
  • Application of the tools experienced in the classroom within one’s professional practice or within the organization.

TRAINER

This program will be taught by Carlo Fontana Giusti, founder of Facilitation Zone™, international expert in organizational development and cultural transformation.
